Cantori New York opens its 31st concert season with THE VALLEY OF DELIGHT, a triptych of utopian and dystopian visions. The Valley of Delight: Three Utopian Fragments (2012) by Paul Crabtree offers three Shaker depictions of the promised land. Siegfried Thiele explores Da Vinci’s cataclysmic prophecies in Prophezeiungen (1987) and we revisit to Charles Fourier’s social ideal with The New Amorous World (2014) by Lembit Beecher.
